I have a nokia 6300 on vodafone australia its asking for a restriction code please can anyone help

Unfortunately you can't use the free code method of unlocking this handset. However, you may be able to do it for free if you have a cable following the guide at http://www.mob453.com/forum/free-unlocking/bb5-unlocker-found-on-dejan-page-t4837.0.html

what kind of restriction code?

unlock, pin, sim lock, subsidy?
