Mob453 is about to get new clips in/

look on www.mob453.com/unlocking for further information

Some unlock codes for Samsung phones, these are entered on the keypad although i am not sure for all models whether the SIM should be removed or not, i'm afraid it's upto you to try, these codes generally reset part of the phones EEPROM so these are strictly use at your own risk i'm afraid.

*#7465626# should show you the lock status, but i am not sure if it works on all phones.

E700 / S500 :
*2767*688#

SGH-600 :
*2767*3855# - Full EEPROM Reset
*2767*2878# - Custom EEPROM Reset

S100 / S300 / V200 :
*2767*7822573738# - Stack Reset

S105 :
Remove SIM
Enter *2767*7822573738#
After reboot enter #0111*00000000#
Message should show saying "Personalisation Cancelled"

A300 / A800 :
*2767*637#

A few more.
You can try these in case you downloaded corrupted or incompatible Java midlets or other media, which are causing problems with the phone.

*2767*JAVA# Java Reset and (Deletes all Java Midlets)

*2767*MEDIA# Reset Media (Deletes All Sounds and Pics)

*2767*WAP# Wap Reset

*2767*CUST# Reset Custom EEPR0M

*2767*FULL# Reset Full EEPR0M (Caution)

For example : *2767*JAVA# would be keyed in as *2767*5282#

Note : Not all codes will work with SGH-C100.

temporary fix to unlock all samsungs

put in a sim card that the phone is not meant to work with.

enter *#9998*3323#
press exit
choose malloc fail
phone resets
wait for the phone to reboot
and the phone will work with the new sim

only snag with this code is when you turn the phone off you will have to repeat it, or permanently keep your phone on. Confused

Try either:

*2767*688#
or
*#*7337#

For the E700, and try entering them with an accepted sim card in the phone.

If they don't work, then unfortunately it's cable only

#*7337#  is the correct code not *#*7337#
its 100% effective. (worked for me 22 out of 22 times)

Hey..

#7465625*638*Code#

What's the "code" part? Is it the secret code no one has, or is it possible to find it/figure it out?

Yeah, it doesn't work with the #*3773# code. At least not on my phone. Maybe cause of new firmwire. Anyhow, does anyone know how to unlock the ones with the new firmwire?

Any suggestions would be appreciated...  Cool

About the temporary unlock. How the fuck can you type in that code? When you put a sim card inside, which the phone isn't supose to work with, it will ask for the unlock code, and by pressing '#' is says "password too short"?

temporary unlock in the thread was posted way before the d500 was released.

d500 seems to be on a new platform, same as the z107.

Just a little warning to any of the newbs coming here and posting the same topic (no matter what you want to rename it) asking how to unlock their phone or what to do when it says "Locked: Return for Servicing"

Unlocking:

If you have Rev 1.5 (x426) or earlier and most older models
Use the *#9998*3323# Trick (look for it on the forum)
The *#1111*WHATEVER# code will NOT work

If you have Rev 1.6 (x426) or later and most newer models
You MUST use unlocking software. Codes WILL lock your phone FOREVER

Locked: Return for Servicing

There is only 1 working solution, you must flash a copy of the firmware that is not in the locked status. (Most) Unlocking programs will NOT disable this issue, and your service provider cannot give you a code

If you do not plan to use your phone with another service provider, there is no real point to unlocking your phone other than to sell it. If you don't need to unlock it, don't take the risk of disabling the phone altogether

The *#9998*3323# Method:

1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to
3. When Incorrect SIM error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey.

1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is NOT LOCKED
(difference company's SIM card) to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit,
so hit the right soft key. Choose number 7 . Your phone will
reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other(another company) than the one that is in it.
Then power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM pass code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes. So that will totally UNLOCK your phone.

Hey,

I've transferred a photo onto my phone from my computer - turns out any photos over 1152 by 864 will break the phone - would have been nice to have been told!

Anyway, I put this file on my phone and now when i try and get into the 'downloaded images' folder on the phone it crashes the phone.

Annoyingly I've connected my computer and i can see all the images on the phone - i just can't do anything about them!

Does anyone know how to round this - i don't care if i lose all the files on my phone - just want it working!

Cheers!

Have read most of the posts, but a little confused. Bit of a noob. lol I'm tryin to unlock SGH-E800  imei: 357397-00-545308-8. Have unlocked everything on it apart from Network. Understand I need a code. 00000000 doesn't work tho. Don't want to permanently lock it, so is there a way to find the hidden code? Or will I end up flashing it. When I enter the CHECK CODE it says General Defense Code erased. I assume that's only the PIN code right?

Many thanks for your time.

Forgive me if im wrong, but I think the PUK code can only be given by the network provider. Give customer services a call (not sure of the number, you dont say which network your on) tell them you need a PUK code and they will do the checks on you ie your address, mothers maiden name etc. then tell you the PUK code.
As I say forgive me if im wrong. Very Happy

#------------------------#
enter: "*#9998*3323#"
select 'Exit' then 7th option
*the phone will reboot*
#------------------------#

#---------------------------------------------------------------------#
*Now, it will start up, but you should enter the folllowing "*#9998*masterpwd#"
, otherwise it will turn itself off

#---------------------------------------------------------------------#

#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------#
Go to menu 4.2.4 (4=Phone Settings, 2=My Settings, 4=File Manager)
and choose 4 (initialise) è 6 (recover).

It's a cable job,

though when it is not vodafone branded it looks a whole lot nicer,

want to email unlocking@mob453.com and we'll do you a price for unlocking and removing the vodafone branded firmware?

ok

type *#7465625# < sim lock status

network lock active

#7465625*688*xxxxxxxx# < net unlock code

*#8999*8378# < test code.

Now I'm stuck. my x460 refuses to unlock via cable or code.

Hi. Discovered your forum on a search for free unlocking. V new to this- brought a Samsung to Australia from UK, contract terminated/expired with Orange and haven't used since 2003. Recently lost Australian phone so wanting to find out how I can unlock it without the expensive airfare to the UK....

Paid £4.50 for a *2767*637# code that didn't work- 'wrong entry'- with no refund as they said (after I'd paid) that this could happen. ..

Any ideas? Not sure where you all are based, but hopefully someone will have a solution??/

Also, not sure if it matters, but we no longer have the orange sim- too long ago to remember what happened to it but probably lost it trying out other sims (hence we found out it was locked...).

Should/could I just ask Orange???! (Brainwave....) What's this cable that gets mentioned- is this what they use in the UK to unlock it and hence needs to be done over there, not here?

Forgive the ignorance...

GGRRR Mad  Crying or Very sad !! I guess that means that it's a cable job?? I had the sim out, typed in the code, and it came up 'wrong entry'.

What is a cable job, and can I get it done then in Australia?

Probably not unfortunately as it may be a stolen/lost phone. You can call Orange 0800317720, or Vodafone on 08700776655 to see if it's blocked and to see if there's anything they can do about it.

If it was locked to a different network, you'll need to give them a ring to find out.

Good luck!

Any chance that the samsung x640 can be unlocked via a code, or key press sequence?

when a sim for a different network is inserted, it asks for a password?  only have 8 tries left now, so each try counts now

IMEI:      35589900477552/0

SOFTWARE VERISON:     x640bied1

LOck Level:  0000000000001001

locked on the virgin netowrk

Hi

I'm also looking for an unlock code for the samsung X640.

Just bought one for the missus this evening, but it's locked to virgin. We've got another sim card to use in it, cos virgin are expensive.

Any help would be great.

By the way, i used this website a while back to unlock my E700, the #*7337# didn't work with mine (locked to UK orange) but *2767*688# worked perfectly. I lost all my phone numbers (stored on phone, sim was fine) and any pictures though, so make sure you back up first!

Thanks a lot though guys, you do good work.........

Some unlock codes for Samsung phones, these are entered on the keypad although i am not sure for all models whether the SIM should be removed or not, i'm afraid it's upto you to try, these codes generally reset part of the phones EEPROM so these are strictly use at your own risk i'm afraid.

*#7465626# should show you the lock status, but i am not sure if it works on all phones.

E700 / S500 :
*2767*688#

SGH-600 :
*2767*3855# - Full EEPROM Reset
*2767*2878# - Custom EEPROM Reset

S100 / S300 / V200 :
*2767*7822573738# - Stack Reset

S105 :
Remove SIM
Enter *2767*7822573738#
After reboot enter #0111*00000000#
Message should show saying "Personalisation Cancelled"

A300 / A800 :
*2767*637#

A few more.
You can try these in case you downloaded corrupted or incompatible Java midlets or other media, which are causing problems with the phone.

*2767*JAVA# Java Reset and (Deletes all Java Midlets)

*2767*MEDIA# Reset Media (Deletes All Sounds and Pics)

*2767*WAP# Wap Reset

*2767*CUST# Reset Custom EEPR0M

*2767*FULL# Reset Full EEPR0M (Caution)

For example : *2767*JAVA# would be keyed in as *2767*5282#

Note : Not all codes will work with SGH-C100.

I know you've all seen this before...but can somebody PLEASE help me?  I recently bought a Samsung SGH - 500 (or D500), i think they're the same thing, off E-bay for 370 freakin' dollars.  In the description, it said the phone was unlocked and would work on any network.  Turns out, it's locked to Cingular and i'm trying to get it to pick up Cellular One towers.  When I put my SIM card in and start up the phone, it says "searching" then "Cingular" at the bottom of the screen.  I am able to make and receive phone calls, but i found out that i am getting charged roaming fees, since the phone is running on Cingular towers.  I am able to receive text messages, but not send them.  I have tried just about every freakin' code i've came across...i did these steps...
1. *2767*63342# auto restart indicates "insert sim"
2. *2767*3855# auto restart indicates "insert sim"
3. *2767*2878# auto restart indicates "insert sim"
4. *2767*927# auto restart indicates "insert sim"
5. *2767*7822573738# auto restart indicates "insert sim"

But step 1 and step 5 did not work.  When i enter in "  *2767*688   "  it says that command doesn't exist.  I have ordered a data cable off e-bay, so that should be coming next week.  Could somebody please tell me if there's any other codes to try out?  how to do it?  what software i need to unlock it with the data cable?  Or exactly what i need to do to be able to get this phone to pick up Cellular One towers so i stop getting roaming charges!   Thanks in advance for any help!!!

If it was lost, then it's probably been blacklisted - unlocking won't help un-blacklist it unfortunately.

Which phone model is it?

I need to know how to unlock a samsung e335.  Can this be done as a remote unlock, or does it require a cable.  It is a T-Mobile phone and I want to use it on Cingular.  Pleas email Lorrigrl@aol.com with help, I am desperate!!!  Thanks.

Problem solved!!! My original problem as stated in the above 2 posts. Unlocking using the Original Poster's codes worked beautifully, except that in the UK, O2's newer phones have a customized IMEI with the O2 name in it. They even changed samsung's default reset code, so not even the samsung people could help me, and naturally, O2 wants to charge me for the info. When I made the unlock permanent by personalizing it using the *0141#, O2's phone defaulted back to their secret sim lock. And what's that? Instead of typing the default password of four zeros, or eight zeros, replace the zero's with fives. Simple, elegant, no-need-for-cables-solution, yet took me a whole day searching the net, seen dozens of other people asking the same thing, and the answer was right there on the O2's sim leaflet. Now I can enjoy my new 2 year old v200!!!!!

FOUND WAY TO SUCCESSFULY UNLOCK IT Smile (only to switch another provider)

OK, here it goes

Basicly when you do *2767*688xxxxxxxxxxxxx# trick you just unlock it temporarily for next boot (but heres thing that worked on mine)

1)  after inserting your LOCKED PROVIDERS card you input your PIN (if asked so) and that *2767*688xxxxxxxxxxxxx# where xxxxx is you IMEI code
2) next thing you do is w8 till phone boots (dont input anything but this),      *0141#    and press OK /send button  , now message "Personalized" will be shown and thats it
*now this means your phone will not ask you to input *2767* thing on that SIM boot, congrats you locked it to your new Provider Smile

I tried to unlock my A800 with the codes that I've found, but nothing works. Nothing happened after I entered those codes and I'm afraid my phone will be locked forever if I enter incorrect codes too many times. Sad I bought the phone while on vacation in Malaysia and nobody told me I wouldn't be able to use it back in the US. I only found out after I came back here. I contacted Samsung Malaysia and they told me to contact Samsung USA. I did, and they said I should contact T-Mobile. I contacted T-Mobile, and they simply said they did not encourage anyone to use phones not made specifically to be used with T-Mobile and left it at that! Can somebody please help me? By the way, the IMEI is: 352472/00/103376/5. Please help me!

I got the same question!
Isent there any code to unlock or is it different to every phone?
If its different do i have to use a cable then?
I have had the phone a long while now, can i call my ISP and get the unlocking code?
I live in Sweden and need this phone unlocked very badly!

after a lot of searching.. here is how to unlock a SGH-C100

Insert a not supported sim card
Follow these 4 steps:

"**Stage I**

wait till error message dissapears

**Stage II**
type: "*#9998*3323#"
press "Exit" and then press 7
*the phone will reboot*

**Stage III**
*now the phone will turn on like it would if it was unlocked*
type:*#9998*627837793#
wait till error message dissapears

**Stage IV**
then navigate in menu to 4.2.4 (4. Settings, 2. My Settings, 4. File Manager)
then execute menu item 4 (initialize) and 6 (recover)."

Samsung e720 instructions:

Samsung Remote Unlock Instructions:-
1. Switch OFF your phone.

2. Put in a SIM of a different network provider.

3. Now turn your phone back on. You will see an error message saying
"Wrong Card".

4. Type *#9998*3323# in to your phone.

5. If you've entered the code correctly as outlined in the Step 4, you
shall see a screen telling you to press exit. So hit the right soft key.

6. Now you will see a Menu of choices. Scroll down and select option 7
(“Jump to Null”). As soon as you select option 7, your phone will turn
black and reboot itself. After your phone reboots, the SIM will be
recognized and your SIM will work. (Please be patient while your phone
reboots and DO NOT press any keys.)

7. Now, at your welcome screen type in *0141# and hit your call button!
This will give you a message saying your phone is Personalized.

8. Power OFF your phone and insert your original SIM.

9. Once done, power ON your phone.

10. At the SIM Code prompt, it will ask you to enter a password. Type
00000000, (that is 8 Zero's). After you enter the code, hit "ok" and
your phone should power up.
Your phone is unlocked!!!
You can now put the SIM of your choice into the phone and use it at your
will! Without ANY RESTRICTION!

You might be able to temporarily unlock it:

Type in *#9998*3323#
Then press exit
Then select 6

The phone should be unlocked, then press *0141#

Let me know if it works - if it does, switching the phone on and off again will probably lock it again so you'll either need to repeat or pay for an unlock (or we can sell hardware to do it for £15).
