Anyone used Picasa before? I've never organised any of my photos since getting a digital camera years and years ago, but been forced to finally as friend had laptop stolen along with all the photos on it Sad Luckily i have copies of some of them, but i just don't know where Laughing So i downloaded Picasa and gave it a go, and it's helped me so much in finding photos and organising them, and another great feature is the detection of duplicates Thumbup Because i sometimes didn't delete all the photos off when copying over, or like with my Nokia where it doesn't have a decent naming format for the pics so i end up with hundreds of Image001 titles, i'd end up with loads of duplicates...i didn't realise just how many tho as took up about 400mb!

Definitely recommended for this sort of thing. I haven't really tried much other software so maybe there's better, but i didn't really see the point in trying others as this did the job for me Smile

My only problem now is how on earth i check what's in each 3gp video so i can sort them out! Crying or Very sad Will take a while to load each on up individually! Ooh actually i think i've just found a job for my Linux system! Very Happy

edit: oh it appears to be able to view 3gp vids too! Thumbup

Hmm.. used it before, but wasn't my flavor for photo-editing (used to photoshoppoing it already).

But I don't have a photo album as I usually sort them out in folders. But seen it pretty neat though. Easy for most users.

I didn't even know it could photo edit! Laughing I didn't even bother checking, just found it handy for the organising stuff.

Unfortunately due to my phone naming photos the same name each time (i.e. i've got loads of Image0001.jpg files Rolling Eyes ), and photos spanning across 4 computers...folder sorting hasn't really been that easy as they keep getting lost when moved somewhere when computer is formatted etc. This even allows you to delete duplicate photos which is useful as I can't discriminate based on file names, so would have to open up each individual Image0001.jpg file in order to see what it is Very Happy
