Topic: windows does not respond to V6oo with data cable  (Read 543 times)

« on: August 08, 2007, 01:02:10 PM »

I have a motorola V600- My battery went dead and when I plugged it in to charge, a black screen with white letters said "Boot Loader 07.b0 SW Version: TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.2FR  OK to Program Connect USB Data Cable".  I found your website, downloaded all the files, patches and installed them, bought a Motorola Data cable and plugged it in to phone restarted the phone and the screen said, "Boot Loader 07.b0 SW Version: TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.2FR  OK to Program USB Transfer Mode".  Windows xp pro sp2 with all current updates does NOT detect new hardware nor ask for a device driver, Windows Folders does not show the phone nor any new disk.  I have never done this before.  What can I do to force Windows usb port to see my device?  PS.  The phone apparently doesnt have the software to charge the battery, I must have it plugged in to power it, which is no problem since my USB Data Cable has a power input for the charger.  Thank you in advace,  Michaelmoto in Wilkes Barre, PA USA.

Yes.  None of the buttons "appear" to do anything.  I have tried disconnecting the power and then holding the "*" and "#" while powering it back up and it still says, "Boot Loader 07.b0 SW Version: TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.2FR  OK to Program USB Transfer Mode".  Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar problem.  When I connect the cable I get a USB device not found or there may be
something wrong with the device.  I can't turn the phone on.  However if I hold the * an # and Power
I get it into boot mode then the computer and software see the phone.

I tried re flashing the Motorola V600 using the guide.  It did not show but instead shows
under Device  S Flash Neptune LTE.    This is after I force the boot holding the keys down.

It goes through the flash and all seems well.  It shuts the phone off at the end but I still can't
turn it on.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks
Ken
