Personally that Vodafone deal doesn't sound so good to me. It's not terrible but I think you could get better, but then again people upgrading will always get shafted over and above people taking out new contracts.

As much as I like technology, sexual isn't a word I would usually use to describe a handset heh
Still initial impressions is that it's an updated M600 with great camera added which is no bad thing. A bit like the K810 is the K800 in another shell.
It's not for me I'm afraid as it's a baby smartphone and by that I don't mean childish but more junior to the Big P range but if it fits your need then it's ideal.
I will wait for Sophia. Initial pictures doing the rounds look ok although I believe it has changed design slightly since these were circulated. With the added addition of the 5mp camera it is sure to be a winner as Sony imaging so far is second to none on mobile phones. It looks a bit m600 as well imo.

It's as good as confirmed slayerule
Initial problems have been noticed with the N95 but so far mine is fine. Build quality seems good. yup the battery is a bit on the light side but it's not shocking compared to what some are claiming.
the size of it isn't as big as you think, obviously if you are going for the current trend of it's got to be thin then yep it's big but it's shorter than my N73 but just a bit wider.
Just a word of caution. Not all on esato is as it seems. SE could brand dog poo and they would buy it. Not saying they are fanboi's of course heh

Are you viewing via your phone or your PC? It sounds like you have an age restriction bar in place. All phone networks put this in place as a defualt and you have to request it to be lifted.
If via the pc then maybe your ISP also has the same. I would give them a call.

Mobile Matters / Free Unlocking! / Re: Unlock Nokia 6680

Unfortunately it is BB5 locked so the only way it can be unlocked is from the original service provider at present. This would mean contacting 3UK to see if they will provide the unlock code for you.

Basically a slider version of the w850i. Nice handset as you say but could be very dated by the time it makes an appearance.
There are concerns over the N95 which could prove to be a let down and even to people returning them. It appears that even though this is going to be a high end pricey phone they haven't protected the LCD screen.
When you touch it it has the laptop feel to it, you know the soft wishy washy kind of feel which sounds mad considering that people will pocket this or even put in a bag, Surely it will scratch easy or even get severely damaged if any hard contact is made to it. I could understand if it was clam/flip phone but for a handset that isn't it sounds like trouble just waiting to happen.

The subsidy code is actually read from the handset via software. I unlocked one myself a while back now that was on 3. I don't think there is a free method, at least there wasn't when I did it. I did use this actual site and it all worked.
Not sure what else I can offer, but I really don't think there is a free method available?

erm from a very cryptic and non explanatory comment there I assume you are talking about the latest crop of browsers to hit the net that are all based on the open source coding developed by Mozilla?
A bit like Linux, open source and anyone canuse it to develop their own version and release.
I use flock and like it as a couple of features they have added make it far superior to firefox etc for my uses.

Cheers Gents Had a good day today apart from turning 35 I actually almost felt like a kid again. Missus got me a Black 30gb ipod and family got me a PSP heh bit late but hey it's actually pretty cool. Went for lunch at mine and the missus favourite place, A couple of pints (which is unsual for me as I hardly drink these days) and a ScoobyDoo birthday Cake

Mobile Matters / Phone and Network Chat / Carphone Warehouse Launch Mobile Auction Site
|
on: October 16, 2006, 09:16:27 PM
|
Today Carphone Warehouse launched yet another service, a mobile phone auction site dedicated to selling and buying your mobile phones. It's called mymobileauction.com, and it works in a similar way to eBay, but the clever bit is, unlike eBay, there are some security measures for rooting out stolen mobile phones. The system uses your phone's IMEI number, which you can find out by pressing *#06# on your keypad. When you sign up to mymobileauction.com it asks you to put in the IMEI number of the phone you are going to sell. It then runs that number through checkMEND, which is a UK database of stolen mobile phones and other portable electronic devices. The database is made up of information submitted by the police, insurers, the mobile phone industry and the public on a daily basis. Aside from selling your old dog and bone, you can also sell accessories and SIM cards. This is a great idea if you want to get some cash for your old phone. Launched today. Finally a rival to fleabay and at least it looks like they are trying to take security seriously with the checkmend thing. Oh and it's free to use the site until the 17th November.
