Kind of had an accident on friday, was going down a hill in the cycle lane next to a line of traffic. Some bloke was going the other way and went through the traffic to turn right (he was going up the hill). I was doing around 30mph (cycle computer says i peaked at 44mph but i think its wrong!). Didnt see him until a second before i hit him and he didnt see me until i hit him! Went into his front wing (he had stopped as he shat himself). I smashed into his front lights and bounced off his windscreen/bonnet onto the road on the other side. 6 or 7 people stopped to help and an ambulance was called. Saw my knee cap which was quite cool.

A and E was painless, considering what i assumed i had done i wasnt in any pain, but it turns out that the 4inch wide gash and inch deep gash was all that it was a gash and there was no actual damage to anything! Would of been out in a few hours but i didn't know i was allergic to penicillin which i now know i am! Had an operation on my knee yesterday evening to clean it up and stitch it up from the inside.

The only actual damage i can see to my beloved cannodale is that the handlebars are broken in two.

I'm very lucky to be alive and with such little damage, on codine and 1000mg of paracetamol every few hours! So lala land for me. Thank fuck i was wearing a helmet.

i actually brought it back to life using wontan, rang orange and told them id managed to bring it back to life. they recommended i changed the phone anyway so at least i wont get done for scamming them by sending back a phone that is working perfectly!

the w580i is a very pretty phone, i've just decided which phone im holding out for and it hasnt even been announced properly yet... the SE P700 saw some pics on esato and its stunning, its an m600 with a 3.2mp camera, M2 memory card (ive already got 1gb in my k800), wifi b/g, touchscreen, and its a smart phone. its stunning.

Only problem is that it hasnt been officially confirmed yet, but people on that forum have used it and said its an amazing bit of kit. I cant wait!!!

an 18month contract is the easy way out, its so tough to choose

18months is a long time in any technological business especially phones!!!

ive got a couple of months to think about it but im leaning towards a 12month contract, i wont use more than 500mins a month but i can use more than 500texts which is the problem

just looking at what new contract im going to get (ive got 3months to decide...)

I've really got it down to 2 contracts:
- O2 Online Off peak 500 which is 500 mins and 500 texts (£25 x 12months = £300)
or
- T-Mobile Flext 35 £180 worth of credit a month (£26.25 x 18months = £472.50)

Now if there was a Flext contract offering £120 credit it would be a done deal but because the Flext 30 doesnt offer enough and the Flext 35 offers too much i cant decide.

The Flext contract is a very good idea, but it just causes me a headache. Will i still be able to upgrade after 12months or will i have to wait till the end of my contract (this is what it basically boils down to...)

i got good news this morning. my darling brother was playing trumpet at 9o clock this morning (my head was thumping after a messy night in the pub...) so i got up to get a cup of strong coffee and my sisters biology tutor was here (god i hate being home from uni). He is a doctor so my mum told me to ask him to have a look at it. He says its not any major damage just a strained ankle tendon/ligament hes not too sure but he did say i just needed to rest it for 6-8 weeks!

whilst flirting outrageously with one of my best mates sisters i remembered shes a third year med student on her way to becoming a Dr so i got her to check out my ankle, after she initially offered to kiss it better she decided to have a proper look at which point she decided that ive done some proper damage. she didnt bother to learn the stuff about ankles, just shoulders and elbows (silly fit girl). after seeing the movement it could do and where it started to hurt she decided that ive probably ripped a tendon and maybe taken a bit of bone with it!

this occured whilst still flirting outrageously in front of her brother (one of my best mates...) god i wish id taken her up on the offer of kissing it better!

they werent quite so random one was charge for clearing visa payment whilst overdrawn and the other was charge for an overdraft that has not been verified

i didnt once go over my limit!

i signed up with them just over a week ago.... and already im pissed at them!

i didnt know but they set me up on a 4 day contract when i signed up with only 33mins and 167 texts for those few days. they didnt tell me about it and then i checked my bill today for no real reason other than i could have a look and it was £43.85 now my contract is £30 and my insurance is £5 so i rang them up and complained about why my contract was £43.85.

i couldnt have a proper look at my bill for some reason it didnt get on with my firefox... anyway now ive looked at it and my 'interim' contractcost £4.26 plus VAT ontop of my usual £30 a month. So this month ive been charge £43.85 and i didnt know that i was going to be put on this crappy interim contract, was never told, warned or anything. i assumed that when i signed up my actual contract would start there and then.

im not happy! lets put it that way!

im using the new o2 talkalotmore. which is great! 300 texts and 150 off peak mins a month for £15 plus the £15 credit. it works a treat for me.

aleco get a K700i cheap now off ebay or wait for the K750i, if you get the K700 get a desk stand so you can reflash it (piece of piss its all automated), and when you get the latest FW you will realise just how amazing the phone is. the old FWs were crap but the newest one makes the phone fast, slick, and adds that all important type in name into phone book browsing, it also improves battery life

Right heres a weird one... ive only got praise for the customer support!!!

ive been having a few problems with my PAYG sim over the past week (the mobile top up was down and i didnt know when my free texts started).

But i emailed them once to ask if i was going to be charged for using the mobile topup without getting my credit and i got a reply within a few hours.

Then i emailed them again to ask when my anniversary date was so that i knew when my free texts were starting (i thought it was the same day that i had started going out with my ex-gf 23rd) but they emailed me again within a few hours to tell me my anniversary date was in fact the 26th.

O2 customer support is brilliant, i dont know what happens when you phone the but slowly but surely they are moving more and more of the customer support online (you can now get your PUK code off the net), and i think that their customer support is great.

Just thought id share that with you as many people have been bitching about it in the past

ive flashed the K700i this morning using the SE auto update, why couldnt motrola have had something so easy to use?

now the phone is even quicker and better no major changes but small things that make a huge difference to the way you use the phone.

the OS is good, and texting is great. the dictionary is really smart as it when you enter a new word into it thats the first option it gives you next time you press the same keys.

compared to other phones that ive owned:
V500@600 - K700i is better to look at and to use, its different but in a better way.
Nokia 7600 - The K700 walks up a mountain, undoes its trousers and thus pisses from a great height on it
SE Z200 - One of my fave phones but had no features and very laggy when texting.

K700i is possibly my fave phone ive ever had, the motorola comes a close second.

finally got my hands on the phone. its brilliant i think its the best phone ive ever owned, possibly better than the V525@V600...

I got my Midway 2.8 ive got the correct files, i open Midway and switch my java on from my phone, everythings plugged in correctly, i select com4 as thats the only one that doesnt go mad at me and tell me to change it. but when i try to transfer the file it says it cant do it...

yaeh, i wont flash until i hear its working fine. its just not worth the risk of being left with a dead phone

i had that problem you need to get an older version, i think it can be found on a site called motclub.com

what you need to do is check what firmware/flex you have pre-installed. i dont think you can save the old firmware/flex but it will be floating round the net somewhere. if you look at the other thread me and DrNo discuss which flex and stuff we use and find best (even though ive only been using a motorola for a few days ).

your wap/gprs settings can be txted to you from a site:

if you update your flex then normally the program that does it does a master reset so everything goes back to factory settings. but if you have a datacable which is needed to flash your phone you can simply back up numbers on a program called mobile PhoneTools

i got my V525 on tuesday, was flashing it on wednesday, and now finally i am almost happy with it just gotta work out how to transfer games and themes onto it.

ive uninstalled both programs, and reinstalled just PST but it doesnt ask me for any drivers for my phone when i plug it in now. im getting really pissed off cos i cant use my camera!

i got a V525 yesterday and wanted to get rid of the vodaphone stuff so i flashed it today. after much trying i suceeded in doing this. all works fine except for the camera which now says 'Busy. Try again.' Has anyone else got this problem? how can i fix it?
